Givenchy Haute Couture Fall 2012
For the Givenchy Fall 2012 Couture collection, Riccardo Tisci gave us high fashion with a touch of edgy streetwear (our favorite), making for yet another covetable collection.
He brought the haute with a focus on fringe, embroidery and capes (capes have been a staple on the couture runways this year by the way). From the amazing beaded fringe gowns in red and black that were sewn to create patterns, and the black dresses that boasted major fringe and super intricate leather detail, to the uber cool shimmering sweater and pants that opened the presentation, this line was definitely Givenchy.
From there, Tisci went to cream colored sleek column skirts topped with chic mink bodices that held a totally different vibe than his usual insanely intricate pieces, but these were the looks that held an element of surprise for us, making for quite the interesting and pleasing collection, and another win for Givenchy Couture.
